Are my naturopathic visits covered by OHIP?

Naturopathic visits are not currently covered by OHIP.

Are my visits covered by my benefits?

Naturopathic visits are covered by most extended health benefits.

We rely on our patients to know the details of their coverages prior to their first visit.

Does The Wellness Suite offer direct billing?

Yes. Please have your extended health benefits company, membership ID, and policy number available upon your first visit with us.

Direct billing is when the clinic submits the claim for your treatment on your behalf with your consent.

Will naturopathic medicine work for me?

Our experienced naturopaths provide quality individualized care to all our patients. Where some individuals experience immediate relief of their symptoms, others require time and guided support in order to reach their health goals.

We understand that sometimes treatment plans require a bit of tweaking, so our naturopaths work hard to research and investigate all possible therapies in order to ensure you feel well.

What are the side effects?

Just because it’s natural, doesn’t mean it’s entirely safe.

Our naturopaths will inform you on how their prescriptions will affect your health, and if they interact with your currently prescribed medications from other health care professionals.

Our naturopaths believe in safety first and ensure that our patients are well informed of their prescribed treatments, and any health risks associated with/without compliance with the treatment plan.

What is the difference between my regular doctor and a naturopath?

Both allopathic and naturopathic medical doctors provide urgent and long-term care. An allopathic doctor utilizes drugs and medications to help treat the symptoms of a patient’s condition, whereas a naturopath investigates and treats the root cause of disease using gentle, non-invasive therapeutic approaches.
